I’ve been fascinated by building since childhood, starting with an Erector set made of metal pieces and nuts and bolts. This interest continued through middle and high school, where I excelled in shop classes, learning drafting, metalworking, and woodworking from inspiring teachers. In high school, I won top honors at the Colorado State Industrial Arts Fair with this pictured table I built, following a previous first-place win with a Red Oak waterbed. I also began working at a bicycle shop in seventh grade, progressing to a skilled bike mechanic under a great mentor. My first major fabrication for sale occurred during my senior year in highs school. The project was an exercise bike that doubled as a grain grinder so my client could exercise while grinding flour for bread. This challenging project ignited my passion for creative problem-solving, which has led to six US patents.
High-End heated pet beds. The " Signature Series" beds are one of a kind creations. The one pictured is created from Pacific Coast Figured Maple with Gabon Ebony accents. Notice the feet that look like a small "r" for robair!
The Unity Stand evolved from a design I initially created for the feet of my "Signature Series" heated pet beds. Originally, I designed small feet that resembled a lowercase "r." Wanting to elevate the concept, I crafted a capital "R" to symbolize Robair, which you can clearly see reflected in the piece. The Unity Stand serves as a visual representation of "Unity" — despite its two-legged structure, it stands strong, balanced, and resilient.
